The food at Hunan is really good! I love their buttercream prawns! it's so sweet and delicious! My family also loves their Hotpot, but they do charge extra for rice which is a downer. Now for the bad... The wait for the food took forever! The restaurant was half full and it still took at least 30 minutes for our order to come out! After this experience I would have rated it a 3, but it gets worse! We ordered takeout for a nice quick dinner and I must say the food was still good, but I got food poisoning 2 hours later!! Let me tell you that sitting on a toilet for the whole night is not my example of fun! I only gave Hunan 2 because the food still tasted good... I would still NEVER go here again though.

I spent a year living in China, and I have only found dishes equal to their fare at two places in since then. Hunan is one of those places, and quite off the beaten path in Fresno. I have tried many of their dishes and they have all brought back memories, unlike the other brown sauce and oil you'll find at other chinese places. Go here and try it, you'll understand what real Chinese cooking tastes like without the travel.

We have been try a lot of chinese restaurant in Fresno, but HUNAN is the best real AUTHENTIC CHINESE FOOD in FRESNO, so I think EVERYBODY CAN FIND REAL GOOD FOOD HERE, also the SERVICE is warm and friendly, so anyone can go try sometimes...TRUST ME HUNAN IS THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have dined in Chinese restaurants from Abilene.Texas to San Francisco, California. Right here in Fresno we have the best yet at the Hunan. Chef Liu is sensationaly talented.

I am so satisfied with my experience in Hunan Chinese Restaurant. They served with the real AUTHENTIC CHINESE FOOD. We have been tasting so many Chinese food from China and Hongkong, therefore we really can tell the difference and what Authentic means. YOU CAN FIND REAL GOOD FOOD HERE.
